Surgical Services
 St.
John's Mercy Medical Center, one of the largest providers of surgical services
in the St. Louis area, opened the Surgery Center in 1992. The St. John's Mercy
Surgery Center provides patients with the ease and convenience of a free-standing
surgical center combined with the safety and resources of the adjacent full-service
Medical Center. The Surgery Center houses 29 operating rooms, and facilities
for patient registration, admission, X-ray, laboratory and preoperative screening
-- all on one level.
Designed to meet the needs of patients and their
families, the Surgery Center is located at the north side of the Medical Center
and is used for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures.
