First Associate of the Quarter of 2020
Unity Health associates selected Education Assistant Delaney Vershum as the first Associate of the Quarter of 2020
In her role as Education Assistant, Vershum runs internal learning management systems, maintains manikin stations, organizes and runs Unity Health CAMP and other office duties. After teaching in a traditional classroom, Vershum decided she wanted to be in a behind-the-scenes educational position.
“My interview [at Unity Health] was at 9:00 am and therefore began with the morning prayer, which was incredibly uplifting,” Vershum said. “The HR staff and nurse educators were warm and welcoming, and during my tour of the hospital, I was delighted by how friendly everyone was and how beautiful the facilities were.”
Vershum said she loves the wonderful, caring staff at Unity Health and the sense of community our associates share with the people they serve. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and their cat and dog, quilting and reading.
