Community news | Monday, April 8, 2019

McRae Elementary School recently received a visit from the Unity Health — White County Medical Center mascot, K.C. Koala, and learned about the importance of living health-centered. Kindergarteners participated in a presentation about how to eat, drink, play and live well.
Students were able to participate in learning how to give shots, view x-rays, listen to a heartbeat through a stethoscope, and the process of riding in an ambulance to the hospital. Associates of Unity Health and NorthStar EMS worked multiple stations as students rotated through the cafeteria to hear six unique lessons.
