Mental Health Awareness Month Proclamation

SEARCY, Ark. (May 18, 2020) – To commemorate Mental Health Awareness Month in Searcy, Mayor Kyle Osborne signed a proclamation on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, outside of City Hall with Unity Health President/CEO and members of the Behavioral Health Services leadership team.

“We are grateful to Mayor Osborne for recognizing through this proclamation the importance of mental health in our community, said Loren Miller, AVP of Behavioral Health. He added, “During a crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic, it is common to experience increased levels of stress and anxiety and self-care is incredibly important.”

Unity Health Behavioral Health Services is offering a free Emotional Support Hotline for anyone experiencing stress and anxiety due to COVID-19. The confidential hotline is staffed by licensed counselors and therapists who want to help. Call (501) 380-CARE Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
