Unity Health Cardiologist Speaks to Kiwanis Club

Unity Health Cardiologist, Eric Robinson, M.D., spoke to Kiwanis Club at a recent meeting. Robinson emphasized the connection between diet and heart health. He gave a presentation and answered members' questions regarding his topic of the Mediterranean Diet.
According to Robinson, the Mediterranean Diet is proven to be an extremely effective eating plan in reducing heart attack and stroke incidents. The diet includes foods such as fish, fruit, tree nuts, extra virgin olive oil, vegetables, eggs, yogurt and cheese. Combined with exercise, this regimen can help with primary and secondary heart attack prevention.
