Unity Health recently celebrated the first anniversary of its Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program. The program, which trains physician residents in osteopathic medicine and began July 1, 2015, has seen rapid growth within its first year.

The GME program includes osteopathic training for physicians entering family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry and will begin training physicians in emergency medicine this summer. The program, which started with 16 residents last summer, will add an additional 16 physicians residents July 1, totaling 32 physician residents in all.
