Unity Health Named Healthcare Hero

Arkansas Business of Little Rock recently named Unity Health the 2016 Large Hospital of the Year. A Healthcare Heroes event ceremony was held at Embassy Suites of Little Rock to commemorate individuals, companies and organizations committed to improving the quality of healthcare in the state. Industry excellence is awarded by Arkansas Business to honor dedication to superior quality in multiple areas of expertise.
"I was extremely humbled to accept this award on behalf of the entire Unity Health team," Ray Montgomery President/CEO of Unity Health said. "Unity Health has been serving central Arkansas for nearly 50 years. In recent years we have expanded, affiliated with neighboring hospitals, undergone a system name change, become a teaching hospital through physician residency, and are now the first hospital in Arkansas to be accepted into the Mayo Clinic Care Network. The growth Unity Health has experienced has launched the organization into a category where we are able to achieve such an honor. Thank you to Arkansas Business Publishing Group for implementing these Healthcare Heroes honors."
This award was given in conjunction with several others to recognize the state's small and large hospitals, nurses and physicians of the year, innovative heroes, workplace wellness, women's health and wellness, and healthcare professionals and administrators.
This recognition again reveals that Unity Health provides value to the community and is considered among Arkansas's heroes in healthcare.
